Ok, so I am a little frustrated and upset. *Little* is the operative word, I just feel a need to vent, so feel free to stop here if you don’t want to hear a parent-centric vent.
As a mid-20 something who has no children: I completely support what you're doing. People who think how you are raising "B" is "extreme" are a.) narrow minded and probably have moral issues with the idea of gender identity and gay marriage or b.) have never thought much about the idea of social constructions, gender identity, or why is pink appropriate for girls and not boys.
Related to the subject title: When wedding dress shopping with my mom and insisting on both getting dresses on and off on my own, unclipping, unzippering etc, I was repeatedly referred as a "self rescuing princess"
