Yamada Taro Monogatari<3
EEEEE! I've been looking forward to this all summer!! It sure doesn't help that my love for Arashi has really grown since I first discovered them during Hana Yori Dango days. :P I probably took way too many caps while watching(about 146)!! *meep* I haven't done insane capping since Hanadan so here are some of my favorite scenes!
Taro and Takuya's first meeting:
As they are entering the school, Ikegami Takako the lead girl says that they are just like European royalty and imagines this XD:
Meanwhile Taro is wondering why in the world is he getting all this attention. He touches the back of his pants to check if there is a rip. :P Kawaii ne?
Taro and Takuya both go up to the poster to check which class they're in and Taro introduces himself to Takuya. Yakuya of course ignores him..
But that doesn't get Taro down. Nino is so cute as Taro!! *squishes him*
At this point Taro notices the smell of fried fish in the crowd of students. Not only does he have a smile that makes girls faint(you'll see in a bit^^) and nose of a bloodhound. XD He continues to sniff and his eyes land on Takako and she swoons...
At the school welcoming assembly Taro and Takuya were selected to play the school anthem with Taro conducting and Takuya on the piano.
Meanwhile Takako oogles at Taro thinking that his conducting is as graceful as a ballerina.(i love her wild imagination because we get to see Nino cosplayXD)
Back to class Takuya starts to become curious about Taro. He has a feeling there's something strange about him but he can't quite figure out what it is.
Here the opening song plays and there's some wonderful air guitar by the cast! Nino and Sho are definately pros by now since they had lots of practice on D No Arashi. XD I really love the opening song "Happiness" too! Honestly do Arashi boys just do dramas so they can sing a theme song every new dorama season? XD
Takuya becomes curious enough about Taro that he follows him after school is over. Meanwhile Taro stops by a food cart because of it's wonderful smell. He stands there and sniffs it all in to remember it for dinner time.
Although Taro is attending a prestigious school for the rich (reminds me of Hanadan!) he is very poor and has 6 other siblings to take care of. They barely have enough food for dinner each time so he has developed a skill of storing that smell so he can use it before eating his rice. (awww!)
Somewhere along the way Takuya has lost track of Taro and goes home to arrange flowers(LOL!). I think I remember from the special that Takuya is a heir of flower company.
After tucking in all his siblings for bed Taro is off to work at his part time job. His mom is too weak to work so Taro has the task of supporting his family. The reason he is able to go to school because he got a scholarship. There's one problem with his mom although she's aware of their situation she is a big spender and often spends Taro's savings. :(
Because Taro has worked until the wee hours of the morning he ended up sleeping all through morning class. Takako swoons at his sleeping face saying he looks like an angel (i agree^^). His teacher also swoons and says he looks like an angel but knows she needs to wake him up. She reaches for the chalk to throw at him but is unable to do it. :P
Oh here's Takako. I'm totally biased with my capping XD So here's one of the few caps of her.
Taro finally wakes up for lunch time and some girls approach him to have lunch with them. Taro of course doesn't have a bento so one of the girls offered hers to him. His happy face/smile is priceless and causes the girl to faint. XD
Once classes end Taro always rushes home and dashes pass everyone. Taro runs pass Kakuya making him wonder why he is in such a rush.
Taro is in a rush to get to the supermarket to buy some korokkes for his little sister's birthday. There is a big sale for them and he will have to fight a bunch of housewives to get a hold of them.
Once he enters the store he found 1 yen on the ground and the glee on his face is adorable. :)
The fight for korokkes begin!! Poor Taro is unable to get even one korokke for his sister because housewives are fierce. :(
Takuya meanwhile is still very curious about Taro and continues to walk around looking for Taro. However, Takuya also wonders why he is so curious. He walks right by Taro's home and even greets Taro's mother and two siblings without knowing they're Taro's family.
Just then Taro comes home disappointed that he was unable to bring any korokkes home for his sister's birthday. His siblings happily greet him as he enters only to let them down. :(
Taro is once again back to work and Takako was running out of house because she couldn't take her parents anymore. Takkako's dream is to marry wealthy man to escape being lower/middle class. She refuses the idea of being like her parents. Takako is shocked to find Taro working on street construction and believes that he is just working to get work experience even though he is rich. :P She believes that is a prince and pictures him working in prince costume. XD
Taro returns home in the morning and finds his little sister talking in her sleep saying "Please give me one korokke" and Taro is further sadden that he was unable to bring any home on her birthday. :(
At school during lunch time Taro's female classmates approach him to give him their bentos and Taro happily accepts all of them.
However, at that moment Taro's keen sense of smell detected the smell of korokee. At that time Takako looking digustingly at her bento because it was left over korokees from last night dinner and thinks to herself that Taro is to fancy to want her bento. Taro approaches her and asks for her bento so he can bring it home to his sister. :)
Taro gets so close to her face that she felt like she was getting sucked into his eyes. XD (I would feel the same way and I'm not even huge Nino fan. :P) In the sp they showed this part during filming and the girl that plays Takako started giggling because Nino was so close to her face. She turned pretty red and said "I'm falling for Nino!" Nino answered "Of course you are." <3 He's too cute!!
As Taro is in the bathroom he notices the stack of toilet paper and decides to steal some for home since they're out. He promises that when he gets paid he will bring back two rolls for interest. Aww!
As Taro walks with a roll of toilet paper hidden under his arms he walked pass Takuya and then accidentally bumps into his teacher. The toilet paper rolls down the steps. As the fellow classmate Sugiura Keichi, who is jealous of Taro screams out why would Taro be stealing toilet paper.
At that moment Takuya comes to the rescue at the bottom of the steps and says Taro knew he was having problems with hay fever but he does not blow his nose on toilet paper. :) Even though Takuya has been very curious about Taro he is not a bad guy. Here is the start of a wonderful friendship.<3
Right as Taro said that all the girls rush up to offer their handkerchiefs. :P It's funny that in this and Hanakimi that there are loads of girls fangirling the boys. It sure reminds of me JE. XD (Sometimes I wish I lived in Japan so I could be in extra for these dramas. XD)
Sugiura Keichi is angry at his failed attempt to bringing down Taro and decides to take Taro's bento that he got from Takuya. Is it wrong I already hate Keichi because that actor was already mean to Takki in "Taiyou no Kisetsu"? Okay, it's kind of funny he's being cast as bad guy to JE boy. Bad idea! He sort of looks like chibi Matsujun though...
As Taro and Takuya are coming back to the classroom, Taro thanks Takuya for helping him out. He then notices Keichi with his bento. Taro runs after Keichi right before Takuya was about to ask him why he was stealing toilet paper.
Taro chases Keichi up to the school's rooftop to get back the bento. While they were running through school they passed by Takako and she joins the chase. She hides behind the wall when they finally reach the rooftop and listens in while Taro tells Keichi to give back the bento. Taro tells Keichi that he doesn't know how much effort is put into that bento. Takako mistaken that Taro cares for her because he is trying to protect her bento while in reality he just wanted it for his sister. Keichi threatens to throw it down the rooftop and Taro persists in telling him to hand it to him. Then Keichi said fine he will hand it back but instead he threw it. That jerk!!
Taro jumps to save it but jumps pass the bento but thankfully Takuya came to the rescue and catches it! <3
After Takuya hands the bento to Taro he walks away and thinks to himself why in the world is Taro so desperate to save the bento. Taro is just so happy that the bento is still in tact to bring it home for his little sister. <3
At that point Takako further believes that Taro has feelings for her and that she will become queen. LOL XD
Taro brings home all the bentos he received that day. Isn't their house really cool? The crew had to build all of this from scratch!
Taro spreads out all the bentos on the dinning table and his little sister is so happy for the korokke bento. However, instead of eating it she smells it and save up that smell just like Taro. She said that smelling it like so is enough for her and tells Taro to eat it instead. This is where Taro is so touched he cries. Awww!!
At this moment outside Takuya is standing right outside Taro's house. Taro's mom just arriving back asks if Takuya is a friend of Taro's and he says yes. Taro's mom invites him inside but he declines her offer and said next time. :) As Takuya walks away he smiles at the house and thinks that Taro is an interesting boy. ^^
As Taro's mom comes in she tells everyone that she has a gift for the birthday girl. She brought home a dress for her and then Taro wonders how much that may have cost. However, he realizes how happy his little sister is and tells himself that he just needs to get another part time job. Poor guy! He's such a good big brother/son. :)
The End! Now comes the wonderful promo for second episode where Nino is dressed as a maid!!<33 He looks so pretty!

It's pretty clear from the promos Takuya let Taro come to his house to be a maid so that he can earn more money to support his family. However, they had to dress him as female maid outfit so that he wouldn't get caught. EEEE!! This reminds me of Hanadan again when Makino was Dom's maid. Hanadan never escapes my mind it seems. ^^ Anyways, sorry Mao but Nino as a maid beats you. XD I really think I over capped this post. This is probably the first time I really went off. I'm exhausted now. I doubt I'll do this for every episode. I was actually planning to do short cap and then some icons like my Hanakimi post. Jdramas really eating my brain this summer. :P I'm too tired to make icons this time sorry. If anyone wants one of those caps as an icon i'll be happy to make it though. :)
