What the fuck? There's absolutely no reason why people should be forced to disclose their gender. I was pretty annoyed when Facebook tried to do it. And assuming that this all is for the purpose of targeted advertising, that's just even less reason why people should specify their gender.

Hmm. Well, even if it was only a beta thing, I'm still glad that I sent them feedback. Why would they think this was okay? UGH.

Aww well, I depend on my flist for this! I only learned about this through futureperfect so yay.

But yeah, why on earth did LJ see fit to publish something like that. :/
