More Legend of the Seeker Art.

Just call my crazy...yup crazy....cause I have no idea how many hours it took me to make this vector art. It has over 700 shapes that I drew for this art. Yikes. Plus I have walls, banners and icons sets that I did a while ago.

I never quite understood vector art because of how Adobe Illustrator CS3 can create the same effect in a few seconds with Live Paint. Did you use Photoshop or otherwise? It's quite pretty and detailed, nevertheless. That scene is still one the greatest 10 mins of Seeker - what an opening!

I just love that cap of Bridget. It just shows so much in one look.

Totally get you on the vector art. I have no idea why I like them because they are seriously a pain in the ass to make. I don't know anything about Illustrator so thats kind of cool that it can do it. I think Photoshop can sorta do it too but it very grainy and you really can't tell what the picture is. I used to love drawing and painting growing up so to me its almost like that for me. Still don't think its worth the time so Im not sure why I do them lol.

Ive done a few other ones of Bella and edward of twilight.

So do you like Illustrator better then photoshop?

Nah, I'm a Photoshop gal down to my wee bones, but both PS and Illustrator both have that mosaic/cell-shading filter ability. I did a peice inspired by that style about 4 years ago a huge (like 2 metre wide) self-portrait in acrylic gauche for my year 12 art exhibition, so I feel your pain. It took me 2 months on and off to complete it and I used several tubes of guache :P some artists like expansiondesign can make the cell-shading look work amazingly without it having that ‘filter effect’ eg: #1, #2. They've got a real style with it that impresses me no end!

I use the Adobe Suite at work each day so I can appreciate what Illustrator can do, but PS all the way, whoo! You never confirmed, so I assume you've used the lasso tool or cutout filter in PS? It's difficult to get the look you want with the cutout filter, hey?

Ekk, I just realized i never replied back. Okay that art piece you did sounds like one hell of a monster! Okay those examples are just SIMPLY AMAZING. I have no idea how they do that.

I actually use the pen tool after I posterize the picture.

Did I comment on this in CSS? I don't know if I did. But anyway, I love love love your vector art of Kahlan from Prophecy. It is AMAZING. I'd love to try something like that but I have no clue about vector art. Mad props to you! I'll go check if I commented on CSS and give you a karma. :)
