NaNoWriMo 2008

So, I've already drafted my plot for NaNoWriMo. This time I am prepared to jump right into writing. I'll just need to fill in the details as I go. I've decided to write fantasy this year. I still have a little world building to do, mainly geography and place names, but I can just make those up as I write ( Read more... )

Of course you can. You just can't do the actual writing, and I won't start that until November.

Perhaps a frame narrative? That way, two or more people could be telling an outside party about it, and you can use the other person doubting the story as a foil to explain things.

Probably came to mind because in my Sci Fi class, we are reading a lot of them, like The Time Machine.

Good idea. It's basically what I was going to do, but I hadn't given much thought to audience interaction. My primary intent is to try to make the characters believable by making their memories fallible, so that they disagree with each other over what happened (or more importantly in their interpretations of what happened). But the response of a third party would definitely help.
