I am not sure if I can argue if fate is true or not. However, it is never known what the future holds. Please realize this.

Future is unavoidable, Chihiro-san. The girl has a future, though it is for her to decide how to steer herself towards it.

Ah, but the events are not the same. The girl may not notice, but her existence effects that which is around her. The world changes with her. Because of her.

She is not so alone.

But she is. The people in the paintings... even if she can put herself into them, she can't bring them into her world.

The people are the paintings. They are already in her world.

They are only paintings of people. The girl cannot interact with them, so they're not really people.
