I just got a new surge protector... well, more of a "power conditioner", but, whatever. It's for my live rig. It's made by Monster Power. I had to have it. Since, you know, I'm a monster.

ah yes ive seen those and have considered buying one, since most of my effects are big analog boxes that require their own power sources. did you get the rack mount one? or the floor standing thing? congratulations on your monstorous purchase

I got the rackmount one. These days I have a three-space rack for my live setup, including the same little red half-space Boss effects box I was using when we played together and a wireless system. I also have to power my amp of course, and I'm using quite a few effects pedals, all of which are in a self-contained pedalboard, so I run an extension cord from the power supply to the pedalboard. I have a Dunlop Powerbrick (I think it's called that?) that powers all my pedals.

i know, they all hate their jobs, but i would too if i worked at safeway. oh well, at least they have a job. they need to be open 24hours. damn it
