I've sat here for a few minutes trying to get my thoughts around the shooting. Obviously it happened yesterday and I've had a LOT of thougths about it. Gun control, mental illness, how truly upsetting the whole thing is. However, it is hard for me to seperate the fact that it was at a school from all the other horrors. Pampering Myself
Keeping up with my resolutions a bit early, I'm pampering myself tonight.
I have college women's volleyball on.
I'm doing my nails for the Jaguars game.
And I'm listening to the Les Miserable soundtrack.
I'm probably going to curl up in bed at 10.
NO SHAME. NO APOLOGIES. ME TIME IS IMPORTANT SO SUCK IT. -

Just had a student from a couple years ago pop in to tell me "Every since your class, I've loved Language Arts. I even like reading now!"

All my major stress factors are ending at the same time. Taking a break from grad school, mentor training after school is over, two days left before the break.
You'd think I would be able to stay out until 11. Nope. Totally and utterly exhausted.

School Work on a Sunday
Tomorrow starts week before Winter Break. Traditionally, this is a really hellish week in terms of behavior. They're ready for break. I'm ready for break. We're all tired of looking at each other.
