Thank you! Initially I was going to have evil stick people and then I thought that that would be far too obvious - poor things are just trying to get along peacefully...

I LOVED this! Great pacing, and of course I love the children's rhyme device, and it's awesome with the little people and thinking that oh, it's okay, the main character will be safe now, but oh noes! :)

Oh man, that rhyme was an absolute pain to write! I just could NOT get it to come out the way I wanted it to but I knew that that's how I wanted to open the story and although I had the whole thing mapped out in my head, I refused to write it until I had the rhyme finished, so I almost didn't get anything written at all! I'm glad you liked the final product - made all the stress worthwhile :)
