“He said what?”  Meg’s jaw dropped and she looked aghast at what she’d just heard.

This reminded me e'er so slightly of The Wicker Man. Except that it was way, way better.

(...at least, way, way better than the Nic Cage version. I can't speak for the original.)

I *am* kinda sad that there's no blowhard-pagan drama in the comments yet, though. Wiccans do seem to have a pretty good sense of humor, I'll say that for them.

Oh you MUST see the original! It's an amazing film and soooo much better than the remake would suggest. Which is a shame - the remake had the potential to be amazing. They could have based it around a goddess worshipping group and made it really frenzied, but instead they ripped the heart of it, which made the ending completely nonsensical instead of beautifully perfect.

You know, it hadn't even occured to me that there was the slightest possibility of drama from writing this. It would have been quite funny if someone had attempted it though because I can pretty much guarantee that they wouldn't be of the Wicca.

Thanks! It's funny what conversations years ago with neighbours can do to an Idol piece!

Thanks - I figured the only way to go from a ridiculous conversation (which really did happen in real life) was even more ridiculous!
