Youmacon was good to us. With the proceeds from our Artist's Alley table, we paid off our table fee, our badges, and our hotel costs. Whew

...never been to anything but JAFAX. Kind of afraid to go since the anime community has made me weary the past few years. I was thinking of getting my crafting abilities on to start making something for an artists ally (not much for paper and pencil art, but more hand crafted and fiber art), but am afraid to start at all.
If you wanted to try , I would suggest you find someone with artwork that is similar to yours and piggyback off of them. You could make a few products and take a corner of a friend's table. That's how Mike started out.
I know it's scary, and it's honestly A LOT of hard work, but it's fun, too.
HAY THAR. I do not jiggle my leg. I find that smacking the offender in those situations usually works, though. And if you're lucky they get pissed and leave altogether, which leaves you feeling slightly guilty but reveling in the peace and quiet of their absence.
I'm so glad we got to see you at Youmacon! I'm a little bummed that we didn't get to do more at the con because of my toe, which is all swollen and icky now. =[ But we still had fun and it was great to see you!
I didn't see much of Laurel (Aunt Hufflepuff) as we were pretty busy all weekend. I felt bad about that; especially since I wanted to make sure she wasn't bored/weirded out during the weekend, but I had lost my phone so she couldn't call us. I'm sorry, Laurel.I didn't go into the artists room at all on Friday; I spent it with Christine at the comic book store. Then we saw each other briefly in the corridor on Saturday morning -- you recognized me, hooray! Hard to miss in my Madam Hooch robes, eh? But then I went to the art room a bunch of times to look for you. You have to understand, I haven't seen you in what? Five years or something? And I don't really remember what you look like. That short meeting in the hall was too brief. But I looked and looked through the art room, I checked out the names of the booths but I couldn't find you

I am a leg-jiggler of unparalelled rapport. I inherited it from me dear old dad. I do it so often and so violently, my sisters and brothers have taken to yelling "Stop it, Carl!" when I unconsciously start earthquakes...

PS You don't bother me when you shake your leg. Maybe because I like you better than K.L. Yes, that's probably it.
