I am probably in the minority here, but I like LJ's new content-flagging tool. So much that, the first person who flags my entire journal as 18+ will be rewarded with a full year's paid membership or the widget of their choice.

Why?

  • I don't want anyone who considers themselves underage to read my journal. If I wanted that, I'd go to MySpace.

I don't mind the filters. Just the flagging. I suppose I don't trust the inherent good will of people in regards to that.

...dammit. I'm supposed to be an optimist.

You can still be an optimist. They have at least one staffer who is handling complaints about flagging abuse, and she seems remarkably sane and cool about the whole thing.
