OOC: your thoughts?

I'm considering picking up another muse. I'm constantly taunted about where my writing limits lie so my brain IM'd Dr. Hannibal Lecter below is a mediocre taste (screen test) of a mock-post.

The contemplations of Dr. Lecter )

Ok, my two or three cents...

It's wonderful writing, but you're a great writer. You knew that. The voice isn't quite there yet for me, except in this part:

Mmm. I can still smell the way her perfume mingled with her shampoo. Vanilla Mist Herbal Essences waltzing with Dolce & Gabbana. Sugar and spice, as the saying goes. That part gave me the creeps. It wasn't just an intellect, it was a creepy intellect. That, to me, is Lecter. Now, everyone has their own take, obviously, and also? If you take him on, the voice will grow and improve anyway. So there's that ( ... )

Aramis has been more broody lately. I think if you want Lecter, you need a muse that's not as dark to balance it all out.

What she said! :)

I confess that I never really got into the Lector thing, but the one thing that always stuck in my brain was the comment he made to her while he was in prison about her scent.

L'air de Temps was the perfume that she wore and that just shook me. You captured the feeling of that here. Very, VERY nicely done.

I enjoy your Aramis, very much, and in fact it's why I picked up the old boy in a different game.

He's great.

Give Lector a try without dropping anyone. You may find he's a bit much or you don't really enjoy him. Though, mercy, you do have his voice down.

*chuckles and bows*

I love you guys' musketeers! But I love the old, grizzled boys, too, and Jeremy Irons is the voice of GOD!

Ditto on that! I own both movies and normally watch them together. ;) My pup insists that he's not balding in the future, though. LOL. Besides the beginning, I was very impressed with Malkovich's performance .. especially when he got into the cynical attitude. I kinda stuck with Kiefer as the PB because I got a soft spot for the actor and writing Athos in the future would make my brain explode with him dealing with Raoul's death (the poor guy basically died of heartbreak in the book).

Jeremy Irons was the perfect Aramis (and his voice is so GUH, yes!). I look between Sheen and Irons and they look like they can pass for a younger and older version.

Would you mind if I friend? I am such a sucker for these boys!
