it's because of all the competition out there...other offices are open 24/7, and "taking away business" from them....they are only interested in making more money. I truly believe this. OH, the CEO talks about "serving the community and being the best around" but shit like this takes its toll on the poor peon who has to work those hours. And now, Saturdays too. There is no down time for them to regroup and recharge from a highly stressful job. Well, F them, I am glad I am not in that circle anymore. So very glad.
if they were going to pay the rate that you should be paying to work people that hard, i can seeing people who didn't have a family jumping at those hours. but if they don't give a damn about the employees, they're likely not paying any more, and that completely and utterly sucks.
Regarding having been fired, what a blessing in disguise!
However, I will also leave you with a quote from the inestimable Sophia Petrillo: “Why do blessings wear disguises? If I were a blessing, I’d run around naked.”
Holy cow, 7am to 7pm AND weekends? That sucks. I'm so glad you're out of that place.
And to put your bill in perspective. My one trip to the emergency room (back in college when I burned my ankle on a hot exhaust pipe on a motorcycle) cost me $750 for the doctor to walk in the room, glance at my leg, and walk back out without even saying one word to me. You at least had them run some tests and actually diagnose you.
