It's definitely kind of frightening that you have well-defined favorite torture methods _AND_ that you have to divide them out by world region.

I was good, and didn't also distinguish between pre-Inquisition and post-Inquisition, since that's further into the future.

Hm, could've made the distinction between middle ages and ancient, though.

Destination to drive to by yourself?

I really like getting to drive to parties by myself, as then I get to control how long I stay and when I leave. Having to leave early when I'm having a good time makes me sad.

I've never actually been a big sonnet sort of person, and since I have only limited exposure, I'm unsure of how to respond.

Philosopher?

Favorite ancient philosopher is actually Plato, because anyone who says that the makings of Utopia must be founded upon the bodies of the old world is realistic. The idea of the platonian ideal was a central concept in alchemy, which amuses me as well.

For modern philosophers, Kahil Gibran. The Prophet has some of the best things to say about relationships ever, and I've read the passage about Marriage at three different weddings now. :)

"For modern philosophers, Kahil Gibran."

Huh- interesting! I've never read anything by him. I'll have to give him a try.

Thanks!
