It was time to sleep in the DR. Arthur was going about trying to get comfortable enough to sleep.

Which was an issue within itself.

He was in his bed, he had the covers up, head was on the pillow...had just finished drinking a nice calming cup of tea...but he couldn't sleep. There wasn't any logical reason...

Francis was doing something of the same thing in his own bed. He had had a glass of wine and was reading one of his favorite romance novels, but it just didn't seem to make him wind down for bed. If anything he felt more and more alert the more he read.

...why couldn't he just sleep. He'd tried everything...

He looked at his wrist in front of him, the gold chain wrapped around it...he wondered how Francis was doing...he found himself missing the stupid room. Sitting up in his bed, he sighs.

"Really? ...no, no I can sleep...I can sleep without him, stop being silly, Arthur."

He couldn't bring himself to lay back down though, just stared at that bracelet.

He set his book down, sighing. Why couldn't Jane Austen of all people lull him to peaceful slumber? She had never failed him before...

He knew the real reason of course, including why he was reading an English author. He hadn't had a sleep as good as the night before in centuries. His standard had been raised. For a moment, a dreadful thought came to him. When he was sent home, he'd have to learn to sleep without Arthur ever again.

He'd... never see Arthur again.

Suddenly he needed a lot more wine.

"...oh, fine, damn it."

Arthur got out of bed and made a beeline for Francis's room. He did knock on the door first, but when he did he felt a bit silly and opened the door, feeling and probably looking, a bit flustered.
