It's from the Canadian Tomb of the Unknown Soldier -- a First World War helmet and I think the tip of a maple leaf that's on the monument. People around Remembrance Day leave their poppies on the monument, which is a nice personal touch, imo. I should probably change my icon, it's time for something else. :)
