Baby Knitting!
Still no baby. I've seen pictures of Becky and boy does she look tired. Poor thing. Here's to hoping for a Halloween baby!
I've got my knitting all wrapped and packaged to go--just need to stop by the UPS store on the way home to send it off. :)
I used the big bad baby blanket pattern from Stitch and Bitch with a couple little modifications:
One is that I made it a bit bigger. Just a few extra inches
I also changed the yarn used. The pattern called for a very expensive hand painted yarn in order to give the piece an heirloom feel. Seeing as how this is her first kid though and I'm sure she already is going to have tons on her plate I opted for a machine washable yarn. It's still wool and has a great feel and I was able to find a heathered variety! The yarn was also supposed to be knit tog, but the one I went with was double weight for what was called for so no need for that.
I bought a piece of ribbon to bring it all together.
And there is is all packaged to go!
