Trip after trip, it seems...

Ok, so I didn't update right after I got back. Eh... sorry!

Let's just sum one thing up before I start... the flights were freakin' hell. They sucked because we fly standby as non-revs, since my mom works for the airlines. And our flight priority sucks majorly recently. So, getting there and back was a terrible ordeal. D:
Anyway! We got to Reno first after driving forever and met some of the relatives. It was cool to actually be in Reno for the first time, with all the casinos and stuff. That night we basically just wandered around and looked at the slots in our resort. Oh, yeah, and I won something out of the claw machine... it's a stuffed animal of Brian the dog from Family Guy!! *d3d*
The next day, we drove an hour to Genoa and settled in at our new "hot springs resort". Personally, I was expecting a bubbling pool with steaming water and the giant rock formations and the works, but it was practically a regular pool with some hot tubs. They were still nice, though.
I believe it was that night that we drove up to Lake Tahoe. It was absolutely gorgeous, especially with the sunset and all. We ate at this awesome restaurant in a casino called Harvey's, and the restaurant was called "19", since it was on the 19th floor. My parents and I all split: a great lobster chowder, an incredibly tasty cobb salad, and a great chicken cesar flatbread-thing. The best part was that they served cotton candy for dessert. I mean... how cool is that?!
The next day was the wedding, which was really pretty and sweet. I think everyone had a lot of fun, and it was nice to see my cousin so happy with her husband :D .
The next day, we packed up to head home. On the way, by my request we stopped off at the Lake and I dipped my toes in (just to say I did XD; ). Then, much later in the afternoon, my mom said we could stop in San Francisco for about 2 hours (our flight left out of the SF airport). It was a lot of fun, too; it was nice to re-live things that I couldn't remember from when I was last there. And it was GAY PRIDE WEEK! Which was a very interesting event to watch from the car window XDDD;. In the city, we basically just ate chowder off the street at Fisherman's Wharf and bought chocolates at the Ghiradelli shop, haha.
Then we made the god-awful journey home, and... that was it! Oh, I guess I forgot to mention that I was able to eat both In 'n Out AND Del Taco while I was there, which made me very happy ^^. By the way, ignore the center thing below, my LJ is being weird.

So here's what's coming up next. On Monday, my mom and I leave for Guatemala to attend a spanish immersion school, where I'll get a one-on-one tutor for a week for a good price. The school also gets to take trips to places like the ancient ruins and stuff. It should be pretty exciting!
I probably won't post until then, BUT apparently the school and/or hotel offers free 1 hour internet access to everyone, so I'll be sure to post some of my adventures on here! :D
