It is a HORRENDOUS storyline because no one in this world lives like that, and p.s. I don't care who you are or where you live, if you don't work, no matter who you know, you don't get to live in a building for free, and if you can't pay the rent, you don't get to protest the person charging you because it's not their fault you're a lazy scumbag that refuses to get a job b/c it's "not what you stand for" That's horseshit and they should've been evicted and miss cokehead should've died b/c THAT'S what life is like in the real work in NYC, not what they THINK it should be like. So basically, they were big, lazy, ignorant idiots that thought everything should go THEIR way, without having to do a DAMN thing for it.

i dunno man i think if ur friend was super rich he could pay ur rent for u, especially if he owned the building u lived in. they were protesting benny basically trying to elimanate the poor ppl so he could build a new fancy building and bc he didnt give a rats ass about the people in the area not cuz they were broke. roger did have a real job but he got aids got depressed and then did NOTHING. mark actually DID take a job even tho it went against everything he belived in because he wanted to be able to pay for his apartment, etc. collins worked at mit. ill give u that whole mimi coming back from the dead thing is a reaching, but ITS A PLAY/MOVIE. they tend to stretch real life and most of this stuff is based in fact bc jonathan larson used a lot of his life for his characters.they were not big nor lazy, they were active in trying to make things better, like marks documenty, and the protest for the homeless, etc. they werent ignorant or idiots and didnt think everything should go their way without haveing to do nething because the

It was well written. But I really don't think there is a group of friends that messed up anywhere. I hope not anyways. However, there is just something about it that really annoys me. I don't know what it is. Probably not a play I would go see. Unless it was free and I had nothing better to do. And the entire movie, I wanted ms. maureen to be green b.c she's in wicked now and that's how I'm used to seeing her. I was like NO, if she was green, it would be GREAT! Alas, she was not green. :(
