What is friendship. Some say it's being there when that person needs you the most. I want to go deeper, because I believe, and I'm sure you'll agree, I've figured out what TRUE friendship is.
Friendship is, holding you up when you're to drunk to stand on your own, whether it be to win a beirut game, or just support you.
It's walking behind you up a set of stairs so steep you feel like you're walking straight up, not at an angle.
It's getting puked on just so the person doing the puking doesn't ruin the sweater they're wearing.
It's bringing an extra large bucket, just in case.
It's bringing over medicine for a sick friend, even if you don't want to leave your house.
It's giving up your car, when your friends car is sitting right beside it, because they don't want to waste gas.
It's not getting mad when they bring the car back and tell you they hit sign.
It's singing Billy Joel, or any, songs at the top of your lungs for no apparent reason, just because it's fun.
It's making sure you're okay before laughing at you when you walk into something, fall down, or do anything completely clutzy.
It's rubbing someone's back when they're lying down, just to make them feel okay.
It's being able to laugh about the stupidest things in the world.
It's not talking and still knowing something is extremely funny.
It's letting them call you at 9 in the morning even though they went to bed at 5, and talking them through the problem their having.
It's buying a round of drinks, even though everyone has the money.
It's giving up your bed so someone else can sleep in it, even though it means you end up on the couch.
It's taking off your shoes when you pass out so no one draws on your face.
It's the little things, the random text messages, the jokes that no one else gets, but they're still hilarious to you, the way you can call them no matter what and you know if they can, they'll call right back, and if they can't, they'll find someone else who can. It's the long nights that you don't remember, but they'll never let you forget, the time spent that you don't need pictures to remember because it'll always be in your mind. Mostly though, it's knowing that no matter how stupid you look, or feel, or act, they'll never judge you, because they've probably done it themselves or if they haven't, they will eventually. They will never make you feel truely stupid, unwanted, or unloved, no matter what the circumstances.
