Yessssssssssssssssss!!! I think I'M taking some classes during summer B session, too! To cover the 9 summer hour requirement (although I only have to do 1 class because I did 2 dual enrollments) Maybe we can take a class together! Woohoooooooooo!

hah. def. not the attitude i would expect from someone who wanted to get in so bad.

It's not overconfidence. It's just being confident. I don't understand you with that whole thing.

well it was more of a SCARED thing. scared that i wouldn't get in. it's "apprehension" as michael called it. because if something happened where i didn't get in, my life would change drastically because everything that i had planned was seeing myself at uf, and i would then be completely lost, adding on to the fact that i don't know what i want to do career-wise.

i know you don't understand...but think about it this way. my whole life, straight a's were a must, valedictorian was pretty much expected, and everythat that i do is either a "must" or "a given." so in my eyes, everything that i do is.......normal. at least it is in my immediate/extended family/culture. so why would anyone want a student that was average? and i know you're going to say that's not true, etc...but that's why i don't think i'm qualified, most of the time. it's like...when ppl tell me what a great job i'm doing and how smart i am...the whole time i'm thinking.....not really.

hope that makes more sense.

wonderful sense actually!

Just makes me sad. If your culture doesn't find you so amazing I want you to know that this culture does. Be proud of yourself, or at least try.

lol. that's really funny. "this culture" i don't know why it's funny actually. just the way it's worded or the fact that it's further proof that we come from different cultures? i don't know lol

i shall try, but you can't teach an old dog new tricks. lol j/k

you know what else is funny? in our culture, heath ledger and a whole buncha other famous ppl have died tragically but you know what we don't really think about every day? the fact that famous ppl from other countries/cultures die too. i wouldn't have thought of it if i weren't exposed to chinese tv lol cuz someone who was really famous died from cancer and it's pretty sad. but anyways. just a thought.
