Today I facebook-wall-posted to Kate Greenburger, who is currently in Cairo at the University at which I want to study abroad. She answered back so quickly, it was awesome. I should have expected it, she's an awesome person. Her blog is great too. http://cairokate.blogspot.com, I think. ( Read more... )

Aw, thanks for the sheet love. :D I'd send you some if I knew where to find them--I got them at Linens 'N Things at least seven years ago. I'd also like to say, I'm very impressed with the kinkiness of your icon. *grins*

Noooo...I have to spend next summer at home or my parent will in fact kill me. :) I can spend nine months in Egypt, but it means a summer at home in exchange, which isn't so bad. BTW, I say this to you in all seriousness: apply for the NSEP Boren scholarship. Look it up, apply for it. Do it as soon as humanly possible. They will put up to 20k towards your study abroad.

BTW, Cairo is just wonderful. You will have an amazing time. But learn some Arabic. ;) Get your prof to teach you some colloquial too.

Thank you so much for the scholarship tip-off. It's amazing. My BU Scholarship wasn't going to count for this one because they don't have a program through the UofA Cairo, so this helps me immeasurably. Keep rocking on.

hey, do you think that if I end up swinging by Boston in the next couple of months (school-hopping) that I could come say hi?

Certainly! You, me, and Roo could go to lunch or something. And I could show you around BU if you wanted
