I've developed an interesting inability to go to sleep before 1 in the morning of late, and with the oddness of the BLS schedule, you wouldn't think that'd be a problem. With a power nap on the train, I'm normally refreshed enough to get my "work" done in the morning ( Read more... )

Hahaha, yes. But there's no excuse for napping when you're waitressing; I imagine it's kind of exciting. I just don't like it when things happen half-assedly.

Oh, I'm not complaining about my job. My job rocks. All I'm saying is that it's a wee bit arbitrary sometimes.

...what exactly constitutes a break for you if you can't stare off into space?

in a way the sailing center was like that. You might have no one around, hardly any boats out, and just sit there playing computer pinball, but as soon as a director comes in (usually c.1 hour late), it's suddenly a problem.
