So you're still happy with your kindle? I'm thinking about asking for one for my birthday... but I'm not sure.

Was the rest of your shopping day successful?

I adore my Kindle. I virtually sleep with it. It's true that it doesn't have the same feel as a hard copy book, but the advantages are so many that it grows on you in a big way. You can put it down without the pages flipping shut, so it's easy to read while eating or crocheting. It's easy to carry, so it can just go where you go and you can read in odd moments at work or wherever. You can keep an entire library on it; the print is easy on the eye; and you can change the font size (v. useful for those of us with wonky eyes). It is easy to develop an Amazon habit, though. Can be expensive.

Yes, I had a very successful day. Got some nice things from the sales. Taking one of them back, but the other things I'm keeping. A nice alone-time day, despite being in the company of everyone else who decided to go into Birmingham. Much as I love Himself, I need days off.

The problem with the Kindle is that it doesn't support the epub format, so I wouldn't be able to borrow e-books from the library. But other than that it sounds fine. Hm, will have to think about it some more.

Glad you found some nice things!
