a question! was the secret country trilogy as good as it's cracked up to be?

Yes and no. They are really well-written, and the world that the characters inhabit is full of really clever and imaginative stuff - but her metaphysics don't hold together, when it comes down to it. Still very very enjoyable, and I'd recommend them.
