Summer has slowed down to an alarming crawl. I still don't have a job, and I feel very guilty about it - and yet, this still has not inspired me to go out and find one.

I've been meeting a lot of friends of friends, lately: mostly, my friend Leigh's high school cronies. Which has made me think about all of my high school cronies. And how I have ( Read more... )

i'm still at A&M. microbiology major. gonna graduate next may and then maybe go on to gradschool somewhere. i'm still in college station over the summer working at an on campus job and doing research on pathogenic fungi. i'm gonna try and get back to austin as much as possible because besides my roommates, the only other person who decided to stick around this summer is my ex-fake boyfriend jake. he's a long story, but it's basically just your usual boy drama. so there.done. that's me in a nut shell.

I lived on my own for a year in 2006-2007, finally got my driver's license and a car, had thyroid surgery in october, moved back home in december, messed up another semester of community college, started taking anti-depressants and going to therapy.

So, not too impressive really. A lot of false starts in the past couple of years. But I'm feeling better than I ever have before, and I think I can finally get where I need to be.

I'd like to see you. I miss you. Let's have lunch or something this weekend. Is your phone number still the same?

Yup - but I'll warn you that my voicemail is broken, so I apologize if you call and I don't pick up and you don't even get to leave a message, ha.

It's been business as usual for me first semester of this year, and now I am about to end my semester in Mexico with a trip with Ramiro to visit his most important family members. Then we shall return home, I will attempt to work, and then I'll go back to Agnes for my final year. And yourself?

Hey Allison! Lets see... I'm still going to TCTCM (texas college of traditional chinese medicine-freakin long name) and have a little less than 2 years to get my masters in acupuncture and oriental medicine! It seems like its taking forever. After living with Jules for a while I moved a minute away with Gabi as my roomie. Just last week we got kittens. Gabi named her orange and white male Jinx and I named my black and brown female with a white spot on the very tip of her tail Moxa. They're sooo cute! I've been super busy lately and have been going out of town a lot. Last weekend was Dallas for A-Kon 19 and the weekend before I went to Houston to visit my parents. Now I'm trying to catch up in school. Oh n I almost forgot the best part of my life right now, my boyfriend Ryan! He's a firefighter, has a great personality, and treats me like a princess.I'm so lucky! Yep I guess that covers most of it. So whats new with you chicka?

i'm taking both summer sessions, starting all my teaching-fiascos in the fall and spring, and will be gradjuhmatin' in May. I'm thinking of taking a year off to visit alaska, take the gre without distractions, and return to the old world for further exploration (I want to go to Germany and France, and perhaps bike through Wales or some shit like that. This is very tentative, and will require a JOB for a short period of time in order to gain funding, which I'm not too keen about at the moment.)
I have decided to become a librarian, so after my 'year o' fun' will be applying to a few schools for a library science/information studies graduate program. This will also correspond with my collection of cats, sweater sets, and awesome glasses' chains. and a sturdy pair of mary janes. Are you in a-town for the whole summer? when do you return to the grind?
