Auror Academy Attack

~ Not far across the city from the Ministry, the students at the Auror Academy are reaching the end of their day. Nothing too remarkable has happened aside from one trainee missing a hex and having to spend the rest of their marksmanship lesson covered in pulsing boils - Moody's policy that if you make a mistake you suffer the consequences

*some minutes later, Sirius has no idea how long, he comes to with an ache in his head and back that throbs; he pulls himself into a sitting position and winces, fairly certain that he has either broken or cracked some ribs again*

*the sounds of the battle reach him so despite the pain, he pulls himself together and gets to his feet with his wand raised*

*Remus is hit by a nasty-looking offensive spell that ricochets from the Shield charm of another Trainee, and it cuts right into his bad leg, ripping a terrible scream of pain from him*

*through the din of the battle Sirius hears a familiar voice crying out with an alarming sound; Sirius shakes his head to clear his mind because Remus isn't here, Remus is safe and sound at his bookstore*

*Sirius pushes onward, keeping his eyes sharp for the enemy, and James if he can find him*

*takes a step forward to assess the damage to his leg and aims again at the Death Eater in his sights; Remus considers the assessment to have gone rather swimmingly when another clipped scream wrenches its way out*

*freed from Fenrir with her flesh intact if not her nerves, Lily still can't find James, things are bad here and as far as she knows no outside help is coming, she has no idea what part of the building she's wound up in and for a brief moment she leans her back against a closed door to take some deep breaths before continuing, she knows there are people who need her help but she also knows her hands are shaking*

*James's nerves are firing.  He last saw Sirius bolting out of sight in pursuit of a small Death Eater.  That was two opponents ago for James and he hasn't seen Sirius return since...

Dodging the melee and its flying spells, James sprints down the corridor to look for them.  At the first junction, he takes a wild guess and turns left towards the Stealth and Tracking classrooms.  The door to the corridor is shut, as always, and James barrels into it at full speed, planning to throw it wide-

-except it doesn't open as easily as planned.*

OOOF!

*It heaves halfway open and James flies through.*

*Lily's eyes fly open as she's propelled into the corridor by the whatever just slammed into the door behind her, she falls to her knees, thrown so suddenly she's unable to keep her balance*

Lily!  *Seeing her huddled on the floor, comprehension begins to dawn as to why the door didn't just throw open.  He's instantly at her side, hand on her back*  Merlin, are you all right?!?  What are you doing here??
