Another Georgette Heyer fan!!! I mainlined all of her books when I was a teenager and tend to reach for one or two every time i get near a beach. I read them in English, which I was still learning then, and her writing ended up a huge influence on both my vocabulary and syntax. (Oops.)

I was much amused by The Unknown Ajax, I must say. One of the more likeable leading men that I've seen from Heyer so far... not that the less upright characters aren't fun, too, but Hugo is just a nice guy with a great sense of humor. I think I read These Old Shades a while back but may have the hit it again.

If you haven't read The Foundling and The Toll House, go find them. Their leading men are pure gold! :-)

These Old Shades I love mostly for Leonie.
