ALLLLLLLLL! We have SERIOUS brain waves. I just came here to post that I just finished The Beach! :D How crazy is that? Anyway, yesssssssss, I love that feeling when you FINALLY finish a book, and it's really good. Yummy. It was awesome. The ending will blow your mind. Well, at least one part of it will. Yikes. You'll know it when you get there. And now I'm just glad you didn't finish it before meeeee! :)
BTW, I just watched Lost, and they didn't play Kate's episode! WTF is that? It's really weird that they skipped the 3rd episode, and just went on to Locke's and Jack's. Hmmm. But I saw the preview for the one in two weeks, and I can't waaaaaaaaaaaait.
Kate has an episode and they didn't show it? How f-ed up is that?! Bah. Locke freakin' scares me, btw. He's a bit insane. In a scary way.
Woo! I just finished The Beach too! Actually, I finished it the day you did... I read about 200 pages that day. It was pretty crazy. I'm not sure why I read it that much, but meh. It was good. See, you know what's weird? I think that The Beach and The Da Vinci Code are very similar books, but I liked The Beach about four million times better because I think the writing was above and beyond that of Dan Brown's in tDVC. They're similar because they're both very fast-paced and have lots of twists and unexpected turns -- good plot, really -- but I think probably the element missing from tDVC for me was the good writing, and The Beach had plenty of that. You know what, though? I never really understood the character of Daffy, or what Richard's dreams about them signified. That was weird. What was with the gory-ness and him reslitting his wrists all the time? I don't know how into that
