Back to School, kind of...

So it's been an interesting week so far.

We got back to school after the Christmas holidays yesterday to find next to no heat in the school, during a cold snap in Ontario. Fun. We spent most of the day in winter coats, dreading the next day, when the temperature was supposed to plummet.

I have to agree - my age group is 12 and up, and in groups at that age they are not always receptive or willing to concentrate to fully enjoy The Princess Bride. It has become our bench-mark for staying friends with people: if they like it, they're in! Is that unfair?
By the way, in Scotland you'd be sent home for such cold!

We watched it again over the holidays, just for fun. My boys (now young adults) have loved the movie from childhood.

In 10th grade English class, we focused on U.S. authors. And one of the books we read that year was _The Princess Bride_ by William Goldman.
