Gorgeous!

I have a question for you - I have a problem when I work on embroidery of any kind. The thread shreds. I don't have really long thread or anything, but when I'm about halfway done with a strand it starts shredding and I have to thread a new section of floss. Do you have any idea why this would be or how I could stop it from happening? Am I the only one who has this problem?

That doesn't tend to happen to me. I guess the first question I would ask is what type of thread do you use? I know there are some cheaper threads out there that fray and tangle easier than other threads. I've discovered the hard way that inexpensive bundles of embroidery floss are more trouble than they're worth. I tend to use DMC thread, and never have any serious trouble with it, and there are other quality threads that work well, too. I do avoid metallic threads, though, because they fray and split no matter what I do.
