first of all: http://www.apple.com/trailers/wb/teenagemutantninjaturtles/ is something i will be highly anticipating. i had heard they were remaking the original with cgi, but this appears to be total animation and from what i can gather an entirely different

i do agree with the sentiment of what you just said, youre right. i tend to think of agnosticism more in the popular sense of the word, as in when someone says "i am an agnostic", generally meaning that they dont believe in god, or do, but are afraid to admit it, many times even to themselves. im an atheist, personally, i dont believe that there is a god looking down on us, which doesnt mean i dont have spirituality, because i do. so yes, in the way that you use agnosticism, i do pretty much agree with you. its the people that simply refuse to think about the possibilities of their spiritual existence that give agnosticism a bad name.

interesting side note, dictionary.com's second definition of atheism is "godlessness; immorality". because not believing in god means having no morals. absolutely.

agnosticism = the non-belief in the existence of God.

atheism = the belief in the non-existence of God.

That's how I've always understood it anyways. I'm an agnostic based on that definition.
