My mom went to rehab again. She checked herself in this time, which was a welcome change and what we are considering to be a good sign

Hopefully she does stay sober.*big hugs* Its hard tho dealing with addiction it took me many years a tried to quit smoking and finally I got there. Hopefully since she checked herself into rehab it means she wants to get there instead of being forced to.

you are right...your mom can show you how much she wants to be sober by actually being sober.

if she wants to know why you didn't write the letter, be honest and tell her why not. hearing it from you might reinforce why she needs to stay sober
