Story Recc: Bard/Legolas, G Rating

Anybody out there looking forward to The Desolation of Smaug? (That sounds odd, "anticipating" a bit of desolation, doesn't it??) I haven't quite got my head wrapped around the fact that Bard looks a tremendous amount like Will Turner, and how I would've at least given him a full beard or maybe no mustache at all if I was working at character/

Have you been watching "Hannibal"? I sooo keep thinking Mads is Viggo and Hugh is Orlando! V and O need to do another film together as co-leads sometime.

I agree with you-- I could come to like Bard/Legolas, I think, if she kept writing them and moved that rating up a little further with each chapter. Or scene. Or, come to think of it, even each paragraph would be good.

i'm not, no. can you believe, we have had no tv at all, for the past six months? we just got disgusted that we had how many hundred channels, and there was never anything we wanted to watch, y'know? so we killed it all. not even local channels, since dh hasn't gotten around to installing the antenna he bought. :D i'm happily surprised by how little i miss it.

however... we are caving now. we were going to try to make it through football season piecemeal, but we decided we needed our fix too badly. directv is coming friday morning. *g*

I watch "So You Think You Can Dance" and "Hannibal" pretty religiously, and tried to get caught up in "Chicago Fire" but found it mostly unnecessary drama rather than true fire-kind-of-stuff. I was hoping that would be like the old "Emergency" with John Gage and Roy DeSoto where the drama came from the rescues and not from who's screwing who at the station. We've only got the local channels that come with the antenna, and that's plenty.

Glad to hear you're not gonna try going cold-turkey through Packer season. I'd bet you could make it, but only if you had season tickets to ALL the games. *wink wink*
