Although I am not sure if this type book would actually sell. I guess I would need to win a big tourney (WPT or WSOP perhaps) before this might generate enough interest ( Read more... )

Glad to hear that your foray into professional poCker is going well. I assume that you are making proper arrangements for tax payments/filing? You don't want to get to the end of the year and have to use 40% of your bankroll for Federal Income Taxes. And if you're simply going to ignore tax considrations, Russ has a magazine that may help you in the future (that's a jopke). Sorry I missed you at Escargot, but I'm sure Pat and I will see you at BARGE. Also, any time you need to discuss a hand or a session or a concept, I'm available to talk - I'm not real bright like some of your friends, but as for life experiences, I've been through some rough stuff that most people never will, and can offer a different prespective on things.

Hi Dan,

Thanks for your words of wisdom here buddy. You were certainly missed at Escargot and I hope that Pat and you are both doing well these days. I have indeed talked at length with Russ about my new job and its unique tax implications/considerations.

As for hands and how they are played I certainly think that your advice is always welcome as I highly respect your no limit holdem game bro!

I believe you have a good idea for a book. Right now poker is a hot topic for people and having a book about how I went from "where you are today to being a professional" would be of interest to the public ( ... )

Thanks for your input - I am not playing poker professionally anymore but may still pursue this project at some point in time.
