Bullshit is bullshit. Maybe my vision is clouded, but I just spent 2 years working a crap ass job with bad office politics where I wasn't appreciated and I sucked it up "for the experience."
The experience has gotten me laid off. And while it's hard to tear myself away from the parts I loved (read: the girls), I think you're in the same boat (ie, you genuinely like the job and the patients, but don't want to deal with the drama).
We're young and will bounce back from bad jobs. I think the lesson is to use these shitty jobs to learn how to stand up for ourselves and trust our intuitions. If it's not working for you--if others are stressing you out needlessly, and if you've got a safety net (you're working on your masters, remember?) then don't feel guilty for putting your foot down and saying NO when others try to hand you a shit sandwich.
