Ah.

It has been many years since the scent of rain was so fresh and clear.

[Splinter didn't get out much back home. He's getting better!]

Although, the rain indoors is familiar - even if it smells much nicer.

You would be the type to enjoy a nice storm.

It's good to hear from you, either way, Master Splinter.

It reminds us all of things that are greater than ourselves.

You as well, my child. How are you?

Hmmm. I do miss my stories.

[He never found out if Cody broke up with Donna.]

But, there is often cake in the Rotisserie.

Aah. It is something we are used to, but this is the first time it has been here.

For your comfort, I hope it will not continue.

[Splinter chuckles. He has a thick Japanese accent.]

It does not rain all the time, no. But when one lives underground, every storm poses a different challenge.

Aha, caves of a sort. Before coming here, my family and I found refuge in the sewers of New York.

My name is Master Splinter.

[It's wet. Considering it's not in his room with the sensitive equipment, Donatello is so happy]

[Oh, to be a turtle]

[And have this strange fascination with the water on the ship]

It is great, isn't it Father?

[Splinter is glad to see his son unperturbed about the strange phenomena.]

Ah, are you enjoying yourself Donatello? You and your brothers have always been fond of water.

[Not OVERLY so, but comfortable with it, and completely natural swimmers. Of course.]
