What: A meeting with old aquaintances
"I have to say, Mr. Seonu, I don't usually have business meetings so late into the night," Lex said, smiling blandly around the lie. Well, not legal business meetings, anway. "I hope everything is all right?"
"Of course," said David Seonu, a small, nervous-looking man who was sweating heavily is his expensive suit. Seonu was the regional manager for a few of LexCorp's factories in China and Korea. He'd requested an emergency meeting this morning before even flying back to America, claiming it was so important that it couldn't wait until business hours the next day. "No, of course, things are...things are fine."
"Right," Lex said, raising an eyebrow. He tapped the button on the underside of his desk that alerted his security to a posible dangerous situation. There might be a perfectly innocent reason why Seonu looked so nervous and twitchy, eyes flitting to the windows, but at eleven o'clock at night with most of the building empty, Lex didn't want to take his chances. "So, if everything is fine, why are we having this meeting, if you don't mind me asking?"
"I, um," Seonu swallowed nervously. His voice was shaky. "You've...I was contacted by some people. They had, um, a message for you."
"Oh?" Nothing good was coming of this, Lex could feel it.
"They said, um, that they wouldn't let you put the world in danger. That you had to be stopped." Seonu looked like he was about to vomit. As a messenger of threats, he was not very impressive. "And, um, they told, um-"
The double doors to his office swung open suddenly, and Lex found himself staring at a large group of men, all dressed in black and wearing masks. Several of them were holding guns with silencers attached.
"We thought we might deliver that message personally," said one of the men in a low, lightly-accented voice. He nodded towards Seonu. "Your minion works for us, now, and was thoughtful enough to give us the building plans. Your guards are not coming for you, Luthor."
"I see," Lex said. Oh, fuck my life.
