Kara barrelled into the room, nearly knocking Helena over in her clumsy flight. She was still in her Karen Starr, Ace Reporter clothing (the same outfit she attempted to interview Luthor in), but she was missing a necklace and she was fairly sure her shirt was on inside-out. Unsteadily, she turned around in midair to look at Helena before falling ungracefully to the couch.
Helena stumbled backwards a few steps as the powerful Kryptonian exploded into her room, taking her by surprise and alarming her until her friend stopped and she got a good look at her. Her eyebrow arched.
“Kara, you're a mess! What happened? Do you want a drink?”
Extending her Caucasian, she added, “Your shirt's inside out, you know.”
"Yeah, I know that- pretty sure I'm not stupid," Kara rambled. "Well, I probably am, but I still noticed my shirt. I figured it out about ten miles out of Metropolis." She shut herself up with a long drink from the glass Helena shoved into her hand.
"You know," she mused after a long pull, "Alcohol didn't affect me in my home world. Only here."
"I know you're not stupid," she scoffed. "I was just making an observation."
Turning away and leading her friend down the stairs, Helena started making herself another drink.
"That's interesting," she continued coolly. "Maybe the yellow sun?" She sipped her appletini, thinking to herself it was a little heavy on the vodka. "So what's up? You seem...frantic."
