Due to increasing reports of "shadow" characters and disappearing fields from users, CC Corp asked the debugging team to run system analysis checks on all five servers, including the backups. An email from Magi describes the result of these tests:
>They found nothing out of the ordinary. There are still those baffling files left over from Fragment, but those have always been there. A few people are suggesting hackers and vagrant AI, but there have been no security breaches, nor abnormal data readings recently. The debugging team is going to regroup and try a different tactic.
It seems that using the Keywords on the boards are a waste of time, as users are flocking to them to see the phenomena, despite the accounts that say the fields were mostly empty when the shadows arrived. A few theroies are being tossed around based on this idea--that it's a glitch dating back to Fragment, and the only way to fix it is through those old undeletable files of Horwick's.
The legal team is on the look out for any coma cases. If there are any, I expect we'll be the last to know.
