Visiting NYC is fun. Just be sure to pace yourself. There's soooo much to see/do and that can be a little overwhelming, so don't feel obligated to do it all in one day/week/etc. Brooklyn (to me at least) was disappointing, with lots of hipsters and no real culture.

For a short period of time in 06-07, Jason and I ran off and saw basically all of New York state. If you want some sight-seeing recs, I haz them lol.

that's what i was hoping for! lay it on me! i'm interested in knowing what's worth it... i really don't mind skipping over empire state building and that sort of crap... i don't care about that one area... whatever the hell it is... trl was filmed outside of it... yeah, that's how i identify places. mtv landmarks.

Central Park for sure. It's massive and you can easily spend an entire day just walking around, people watching, etc.

I really liked going to the different neighborhoods to people watch. Highlights: Greenwich Village and Chinatown. Tres excellent.

Museum picks: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, MOMA, Guggenheim SoHo, and Ellis Island. All of them are decently cheap (at least when we visited.)

u mean time square? ur so funny. OMG congradulations to Jo!!! u had better tell me everything!!! if u need to borrow a camcera you know who to call. but you have to really keep up with it an treat it like a lil baby. i'm excited for u but that kinda sucks about anna. but hey she will be in new york so u can visit again right? and writing letters is sooo much fun. it will be ok. kiss kiss. oh an di have no advice as i have never been to any of those places.

god, i reread that part and i really did a great job of dancing around the subject. we're saying goodbye to suzy because she passed away a few months ago. it's real sad; she was great. real crazy.
for some reason i thought you'd been to new york! i'll have to take ltos of bring on the meat videos for you
