My Computer crashed 4 days ago! I may have lost a lot of important things to me. Things I put my whole self into, like photos, and artwork, and music, and websites, and all kinds of great stuff. I'm using my dad's computer. Thank you for your condolences. I can't fix it, and I don't want to pay for that sort of thing right now for personal reasons

But here's the thing--this happened to me too, and I lost essentially every word I wrote and every picture I took during high school. And you know, it was terrible at the time, but in the long run it was really good, I think. It gave me a chance to start all over again artistically and as an academic writer. After the computer that I used throughout high school and parts of freshman year (while I was home) was gone, so was all of the pressure to conform to the style that I had developed.
That all sounds silly probably, but, uh, yeah, sorry.
We should book club, and my brother has extended an open invitation to you to come over and play Dead Rising, or whatever it's called.
