The momentum is still going, and everything I had anticipated/hoped for 2007 is falling into place to potentially be the best year on record. I am LOVING living in the DC area so far: it's a lot easier to get places on public transit or the Metro, and I love walking around the city and riding the busses (where I get transfers, unlike Baltimore). I was supposed to fly to Seattle on Saturday, but Southwest oversold the flight (they have unassigned seating) and had run out of seats by the time I got there. They gave me boarding passes for the next day and a fucking check for $400!! I generally cannot stand songs about love, relationships, breakups, etc. (ESPECIALLY when written by males who probably had them coming) unless they are Modern Lovers songs. Then they are amazing.

The Stooges Raw Power record, and especially the title track, make The Ramones sound like what you'd hear inside a Value Village. Apparentally Iggy Pop mixed the record himself initially, but Columbia wanted it "cleaned up" by David Bowie or they wouldn't release it.
