i sit and wonder of every love that could've been if only i'd thought of something charming to say

i get mad when people i perceive as stupid, shallow, or tool-ish like or harbor an appreciation for less mainstream things (movies, bands, books) that i enjoy. i get disdainful when these people harbor a genuine liking for more mainstream things that i enjoy but only in an ironic/awesomely bad way. does this make me unbearably pretentious?
