This movie looks incredible!!!! NPR reviewed it on Friday and I did my research. Supposedly, this movie is rocking Russia all up and down. Of course, there it is in limited release right now - so that means probably only NYC and LA. Guess pagerbear will have to review it for us. Check out the trailer:

I've seen it! It's every bit as extraordinary as one might imagine. Cleverly written with the kind of special effects that I didn't expect to see in a Russian film. The story is inventive. The acting is excellent. It's a surprising film and I can highly recommend it.

It's also, I understand, the first of a trilogy.

Where did you see it?!?! I have city search every major city around here and it isnt there. Arthouse theatre?!?

The cub might enjoy it. Our tastes have some overlap, but are not exactly the same. It doesn't look like a movie I'd normally choose to see, though.

Been waiting for this since I saw the trailer, opening night for Kung Fu Hustle. That's like.. 9 MONTHS ago?! AGES.

So I see the website, "Opens 2/17/06" and nearly piddle myself while doing the happy-puppy dance.

And then I log on to Fandango to buy tickets. NOWHERE in Texas. So much hate for Hollywood right now.

yeah, I saw night watch on friday before my show. cool movie.
