#009 - It's All Too Much [Video]

Nov 28, 2009 02:50

[The feed cuts on with a view of the ground. It's moving in a slow, awkward, rolling way, as if the creature carrying it has a rather severe limp. There's a few more awkward steps before a pronounced thump, and the LP clatters onto the ground in front of Amaterasu. The fur around her right shoulder is matted and singed, and it's stained with blood ( Read more... )

[There's a low whine, and her gaze turns towards the LP. She's doing her best to pull herself to her feet, but she collapses again before she can get to her paws.]

[She puts her fingers to her lips in worry.]

You... You shouldn't move... it... it will only hurt you more.

[Her ears flick forward, and for a moment she merely rests. There wasn't enough belief on the Island for her to recover from this quickly. But even so, she isn't just going to give up. Once again, she gets to her feet, struggling forward for a few more steps and picking up the LP. She couldn't stay in the forest in her state...]

[Ichigo had been on the complete opposite end of the Island when whatever happened happened, and when the orange haired teen decides to head back, he finds a big surprise on the outskirts of town. There is a wolf with strange markings on the ground, and when Ichigo gets closer, he notices the blood.

He flash steps to close the rest of the distance and kneels down beside the canine, knitting his brows in confusion. How did he miss this? Or what even happened for that matter?]

A-ah...what happened here?

[ He's obviously not asking the wolf what happened, more of asking the question out loud to himself. It's his small way of letting the canine know that he's there as well, since taking any animal off guard is a bad idea.]

[Not that startling her would do much at this point. She's so exhausted she can only let out a small whine, lifting her head to look up towards Ichigo. Her tail gives a weak, half-hearted wag before she rests her head on the ground again. The wound on her shoulder is still bleeding, although not quite as bad as before. Staying still has slowed the bleeding, but she's still lost quite a bit of blood...]

[Ichigo leans over her to look at the condition of her eyes, while lifting one hand to press on the under side of her chest gently to feel for her heartbeat. He's done this a couple of times for his dad with humans, but he'd never had to find a pulse on a canine before. So he figures the chest would be the best place from him to feel the condition of it.

Sure enough, the poor pup is going in to shock, and Ichigo can feel his heart clench just a little. He slides his hand away from the canine's chest and swallows hard before gently moving to slide his hands under her to prepare to lift her.]

A-ah...I'm sorry....I'm sorry...it's gonna hurt...

[He can't help but apologize to the poor animal over and over, there is something about a dog in pain that makes him feel terrible though. He picks her up, squeezing one eye shut in preparation for the whimper he's expecting to hear.]

[The whimper he's expecting, however, is more of a subdued whine. His warning helped, and the pain isn't so bad when she's expecting it. But her mind's starting to get foggy, and it's all she can do to cling to coherent thoughts. Focus on what's real and there so she doesn't slip away. She knows that slipping would only make things worse.]
