in the end the preachers from kansas are saying "being gay is bad" more specifically "being gay is bad because it's against god." and the people who are counter-protesting are saying either "no they're not" or "that's fine with us." which is a pretty good summation of the whole ordeal. they don't hold signs up that say "bigots doom nation" or "
