[ The video clicks on, and it's upside-down at first. Talim's obviously distracted by something offscreen. She watches for a moment, brows furrowed ]

Alun! You leave him alone! [ The sounds of a Scyther and a Pidgey squabbling can be heard in the background. ] Alun! Hey-!

I usually find something to keep them busy. [ ... sadly, this applies more to Riku and Sora than it does to her own Pokémon, but HEY IT WORKS. ]

... Are you okay, Talim?

Like what?

[ she sighs ] A little worn out.

Like racing or looking for things-- or maybe training, in your case?

[ she can't help but smile. ] Your new friend's really energetic, right?

I might just have to explore the areas outside of town for a while, then.

[ She smiles as well ] "Energetic" isn't the word I would use. He's fearless, but he's also go a temper. That's not exactly a good combination.

. . .

Return the wallets and apologize. [an oddly specific answer... he speaks from experience]

[ blink blink ] He hasn't stolen anything. At least I don't think he has...

Mine does. All the time.

I guess the point is, I haven't found a way to get him to stop.

I keep them confined to their Pokeball.

That's by no means a permanent solution, and it seems unfair to only let him out for battles.

No, it certainly isn't. However they learn that by behaving, they are allowed to roam as they please.

Hm. I suppose that is one way to look at it.

[action] Oh look. It's that guy again. sharkfoodbound February 28 2011, 22:00:11 UTC
[Squalo's getting a breath of fresh air - he's jobbing at the pokémon center currently, and decided he wanted to have breakfast outside after two boring hours of pushing paperwork this way and that. The divebombing attempt narrowly misses him, but the pidgey in question dumps his load right on his food. Naturally, that's Squalo's cue- ]

VOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOI!!!!!

[Chances are even people in Violet could still hear that.]

I'm so sorry! He didn't hurt you, did he?

[In an act of complete futility, Squalo throws his ruined sandwich in the direction of the pidgey. ...only then does he notice Talim.]

THAT THING BELONGS TO YOU?!

[ That just serves to make the pidgey angrier, and he makes a U-turn for Squalo's head again ]

Yes-- Alun! Stop that!

[Oh man...problematic pokémon. John's got two of those.]

You can try keeping him in the pokéball. But then you have to hope he let himself out...one of mine does that. I haven't really found a good way of working with my more badly behaved pokémon yet...

[He just lets them walk all over him. He's the best trainer ever.]

At this point, I have to just so he doesn't accidentally hurt someone.

My Gastly is the same way. Only he...pranks people. Mostly me. Luckily he hasn't managed to hurt any one yet. Have you tried anything else other than keeping him in the ball though?

I haven't had the chance. He hasn't been with me long.
