“You have a thing for her, don’t you?” Shige asks, and Massu reluctantly turns away from his laptop screen. He doesn’t respond, but Shige already knows the answer. Shige always knows when Massu has a crush on someone. Even when Massu keeps silent.

“Shut up, Shige,” Massu murmurs, before he turns back to his screen.

“You know you’re an idol, right?” Shige asks, and nudges Massu with his shoulder. Shige grins when Massu glares. “That means it won’t be hard for you to run into her. Or something.” he finishes, and flicks Massu on the forehead.

“I don’t know anyone who knows her,” Massu says, eyes glued to his screen. “It would be nice to talk to her. She seems like a nice girl.”

Tegoshi Yuuko was Massu’s favorite actress, he had caught the tail end of one of the drama’s she was starring in. He felt stupid with how fast he claimed he loved her, even though he has never met her.
Massu just wasn’t able to take his eyes off of her, and he had spent the rest of that evening finding all of her magazine shoots. All of her other drama’s or movies.

Massu had stayed up all night, and had blurted out what he had done to Shige the next day. Shige still hasn’t let it go, always trying to get Massu to try and get in contact with her. Massu isn’t sure what he would do, if he had the chance to meet her.

He hasn’t had a great track record with girls. It’s even harder to meet someone, since he is an idol and relationships are taboo in his company.

“You’re not listening to a single thing I’m saying,” Massu jumps and turns his attention back to Shige. “I knew it.”

“I’m sorry,” Massu replies, dividing his attention from his screen to Shige. “What were you saying?”

“I said. I know someone who can get ahold of her,” Shige says, and grins when Massu’s eyes widen. “I mean if you’re interested.” Shige stares at Massu, the grin still in place. “You are interested, right? If not I’m sure she has plenty of other suitors.”

“Yes, please,” Massu murmurs, he was still in shock, sort of. “I really would like to meet her.”

“Oh don’t act like you just want to talk to her,” Shige starts, and laughs when Massu stares at him with a confused expression. “You act like you don’t want in her pants, or under her dress. Whatever.”

Shige laughs harder when Massu keeps silent, face flush and warm at the thought. He can’t stop imagining it now, the way her skin would feel against him. She would feel nice, against his hands, soft and pliable. Massu imagines that she would call out his name, using that soft voice of hers, as he drove into her over and over.

Shige coughs, and Massu turns an even darker shade of red. Shige laughs again. Massu watches Shige pull out his cellphone, fingers move quickly over the keys.

“What are you doing?” Massu asks, as Shige keeps typing. “Shige. Seriously.”

Shige looks up and smiles. “Tonight you shall get the opportunity to meet your crush.”

“I. What,” Massu says, heart beating rapidly against his rib cage. “What?”

“I told you I knew someone who knew her,” Shige replies, slides his phone back into his pocket and stretches his arms above his head. “So tonight you get to meet here. Try not to embarrass yourself.” Massu splutters, hands flailing at his side. “And try not to touch her inappropriately, you know how fast scandals start up around here.”

“I would never touch her inappropriately!” Massu snaps, heart continuing to beat rapidly. He was going to meet her, it was really going to happen.

“Unless she wants you too, right?” Shige asks, and snorts when Massu swats at him. “Get your ass off the couch and go take a shower before we head out. You need to be all clean for her.” Massu glares. “What! You do, otherwise she might not even say hi.”

Massu slowly stands, and walks towards his bathroom, only mildly distracted. Once under the spray of hot water, Massu leans against the wall and takes himself in hand. He allows his mind to wander to the possibilities of being allowed to touch Yuuko, to be with her.

He moans quietly, moves his hand up and down. His eyes close, and he imagines it’s Yuuko’s hand on him. He squeezes the base, moves his hand up and thumbs the leaking head.

It’s not the first time he’s imagined being with her like this. Even if just him imagining being with her is all it will ever be. Massu lets out a low growl, Yuuko’s face flashes before his closed eyes. He moves against his hand faster, hips rocking into his own touch as he approaches his release.

Massu comes with a quiet gasp, his body shudders and shakes as he slowly comes down from his high. He moves through the rest of his shower quickly, not sure when he was meant to meet her. He doesn’t want to keep the girl waiting, even if she doesn’t intend to pay him very much attention.

--

Massu doesn’t ask where Shige is taking him, he knows that Shige wouldn’t take him somewhere inappropriate. He was quite surprised to find himself in a club not to far from his home, he was even more surprised to see Yuuko at the bar. She was alone, with a drink in front of her.

“Come on,” Shige says, and walks towards the bar. “Yuuko. Did you wait long?”

Massu trips over himself, in his haste to catch up with Shige. Yuuko turns, and she grins. “Hi! No I just got here.” Yuuko turns her gaze on Massu.

His jaw drops, Yuuko is even more beautiful in person. Her long brown hair, was curled and framed her face nicely. Auburn eyes were made up with pale blue eyeshadow, Massu can’t take his eyes off of her.

“Introduce yourself,” Shige says, an elbow jabs Massu in the side and causes him to jump slightly.

“Massu,” he says quietly, surprised that he can even speak. Yuuko holds out a small hand towards him.

“It’s very nice to meet you,” Yuuko says with a small smile on her lips as Massu shakes her hand, manicured nails graze his skin and he can’t help the full body shudder. “Shige wasn’t kidding when he said you were cute.”

“Shige?” Massu asks still slightly stunned, and he turns to look at his friend. Shige was already sitting at the table, laughing around his beer.

“Yeah! Shige and I are childhood friends.” she says, and turns to grin at Shige. “Were the same age and everything.”

“Why didn’t you say you were friends with her?” Massu asks, taking the seat next to Shige as Yuuko sits across from them. “You’re a terrible friend.” he hisses.

“I am a great friend,” Shige replies with a snort. “You’ll be escorting her home tonight. She can’t hold her alcohol very well, so she’ll need help getting home safely.”

“What,” Massu says even more stunned than before, and Shige just grins. “I’m doing what.”

“You’re going to make sure she gets home safely,” Shige repeats, and Massu twitches at the unfamiliar glare on his friends face. “I’ll hurt you if anything happens to her after you leave here.”

Massu would normally fight back, argue with Shige about making threats like that. Except he finds himself nodding, and glances back to Yuuko. She is sipping on some pink concoction, and she grins when she catches Massu watching her.

Massu looks down at the table, and he nearly jumps when the waiter places a beer infront of him. He takes it gratefully and gulps half of it down. He can feel Yuuko’s eyes on him, and his heart was racing. She was watching him, instead of him watching her.

Shige kicks him from beneath the table and Massu glares. He would get Shige back for this, maybe hide all of his photography equipment. Shige would never know what happened to his stuff.

“So Yuuko,” Shige says, while Massu turns back to sneak glances at Yuuko when she isn’t paying attention. “You’re going to be in a new drama soon right?”

Yuuko nods excitedly. Massu finds her expression cute. “It’s a crime drama, I get to play a detective.” Yuuko pauses, taps her fingers against her chin. “I wonder if they’ll give me a real gun.”

“I hope not,” Shige says, and laughs when Yuuko frowns at him. “Because you’re rather uncoordinated and will probably shoot yourself in the leg or something.”

“Shige!” Yuuko whines, and Massu feels a sudden surge of jealousy at the way they banter with each other. “You’re so mean to me.”

Shige snorts into his beer, and leans back in his seat. Massu glances back towards Yuuko. He gasps at the way she licks her lips, eyes locked onto Massu’s.

“Massu,” Yuuko says voice dripping like honey, and Massu shudders at the way she sounds saying his name. Massu turns his full attention to her, and does his best not to melt at the gentle way she touches his hand. “Will you dance with me?”

Massu nods, quickly gets up and pulls Yuuko with him towards the dance floor. He may have actually been dragging her small frame behind him, but he was excited at the prospect of holding her close and moving with her. Massu instantly pulls Yuuko close, his hands grasp her waist.

Yuuko looks up at him, mouth slightly parted. She looks like she wants to say something, but the song changes and Massu slowly starts to move. Yuuko follows suit, she presses herself close to Massu. He takes a little pride in the way other dancers in the club stare in their direction. He was not entirely sure if it was because they knew who he was, or if it was because they knew who Yuuko was.

Massu doesn’t really care, he’s to busy making sure to hold Yuuko close as they move through the song. The bass pounding in their heads, as the vibration move through their feet. Yuuko grins, runs her fingers through Massu’s hair and rocks her hips against his.

Once the song ends, Yuuko steps away from Massu. He instantly misses the way she felt against him. Massu numbly follows Yuuko back to the table, she smiles and offers Massu the space next to her. He takes it. Shige doesn’t even try to hide his grin, and orders another round for the table. Massu can feel Yuuko lean against him, their shoulders touch and he shudders again.

--

Massu stares at Yuuko’s sleeping form, he has no idea how they ended up back at his place or how they ended up in bed. He gasps when she shifts, and her bare shoulder peeks out from beneath his comforter. He glances down at himself, and realizes that his clothes were gone. Massu slowly lifts the blanket up, and groans quietly at the realization that Yuuko was undressed as well.

“What happened last night?” Massu asks with a wince, Yuuko blinks up at him before she wrinkles her brows in confusion.

“I don’t really remember,” she says, and Massu looks away as she sits up and the blanket falls around her waist. It would be rude to stare at a naked girl, even if said naked girl was sitting in his bed. “The last thing I remember is Shige putting us both in a cab.”

“I should call him,” Massu says, his eyes are fixated on the wall. “Could you pull the blanket up. I don’t think it would be polite of me to stare at you right now.”

Yuuko laughs, and Massu flinches as a warm hand lands on his shoulder. “Judging by how sore and sated I feel right now, I am fairly certain you did more than stare at me when we got back here.”

Massu groans and buries his face in his hands. He has never had a one night stand in his entire life, and yet he had one with the actress he claimed to be in love with. Yuuko laughs again, squeezes his shoulder and then the warmth is gone.

“I really hope you used a condom, though,” she says and Massu groans again, he can hear her moving around the room. She was obviously trying to find her clothes from last night. “Alright. You can uncover your eyes now.”

Massu does uncover his eyes, and blinks a few times. Yuuko was wearing one of his large t-shirts and a pair of shorts. He still thought she was the most beautiful thing he has ever seen. “I hope you don’t mind. I’m not really sure what happened to my clothes so I grabbed yours off the floor.” she says, nervously wringing her hands against the fabric of the shirt.

“It’s fine,” he murmurs, and his eyes follow her as she moves back towards the bed. “You’re beautiful.”

Yuuko waves her hand in front of her face, face red as she rushes to disagree with his statement. Massu just smiles at her, pulls the sheet around his waist as he stands up from the bed. Yuuko watches him as he picks up his discarded boxers and heads for his closet.

Massu turns around and faces Yuuko, who is still eyeing him. “I’m going to take a shower, I can make us breakfast when I’m done.”

“That would be great,” Yuuko says, but then frowns. “Except I have a meeting for my drama today so I have to leave.”

“I see,” Massu replies, and Yuuko continues to frown. “I can treat you to dinner one night when you’re free?”

“That would be nice,” Yuuko says and smiles. “I can leave you my number while you’re in the shower, but I really should get going.”

--

“You slept with her?!” Shige shrieks the moment Massu tells him, and Massu flails his arms. People were starting to stare, and Shige was being entirely to loud. Massu has a hangover and he can’t handle loud voices. “I told you to take her home. To take care of her!”

“I swear I didn’t mean to,” Massu says and he frantically looks around the coffee shop, the other patrons had gone back to their own conversations. “I intended to take care of her, I don’t know what happened after you put us in the cab.”

“I’ll tell you what happened,” Shige starts and cringes at whatever thought passed through his mind. “You took her home, and took care of her with your dick.” Massu sighs and buries his face in his hands again. “Her mother is going to fucking murder me when she finds out about this.”

Massu looks up then, and stares at Shige curiously. “Why would she do that?”

“Because Yuuko has never been with anyone before in her life!” Shige snaps and Massu’s heart stops in his chest, he can feel himself as he pales at what Shige had just said. “That’s why I said you should take care of her.”

“Oh my god,” Massu mutters, he tries very hard to resist the sudden urge to slam his head against the table multiple times. “Just. Oh my god. How could I have done that to her.”

“That’s what I want to know,” Shige hisses, and Massu groans again. “I’m going to need to talk to her about this.” Shige says, and Massu watches him stand up. “I’ll call you later.” Massu nods.

--

Massu grins with the first text message he receives from Yuuko. She has asked to meet up with him for dinner, but he has photoshoots, and concert preparations coming up. Yuuko doesn’t get angry with him, just says they should meet up whenever he’s free.

They never get the chance to meet up though. They have different schedules, and their free days never match up. So instead they settle for sending messages to each other, or sometimes there will be an occasional phone call. Massu always looks forward to the days when Yuuko calls him, he loves the way she laughs and the way she sounds when she says his name.

Massu is very surprised, to find a message on his phone asking him to meet with her immediately. That she has something very important to tell him. He fears the worst, and clears his entire schedule the following day. They agree to meet at a small cafe and have lunch together.

Massu has a terrible time sleeping that night, he tosses and turns. He worries about what Yuuko has to say to him, yet he’s excited at the same time. He falls asleep a few hours later, while he clutches a pillow.

--

Yuuko smiles at him from across the table. She looks the same as the last time he had seen her, only this time she looks just a little more worn out. Massu hasn’t met Yuuko in person since the night they slept together, which if he has counted right, was three months ago.

Massu smiles back, albeit slightly more nervous than he should be. Massu is very happy to see her again. Even though she said in an earlier text, that she had something important to tell him. He has a small fear that she is about to tell him that she has met someone else, that they should just be friends.

“You must be wondering why I asked you to meet me today,” Yuuko says, and Massu looks back at her suddenly shaken from his thoughts. “I have something to tell you and I’m really not sure how to say it without scaring you off.”

“Nothing you say could scare me off,” Massu says with a grin, and Yuuko’s smile wavers slightly. “I mean it’s not like you’re pregnant or something.” Massu’s heart sinks the moment Yuuko pales even more, the smile fades from her face completely. “Oh my god. Are you...” he opens and closes his mouth, unable to form words at this point.

Yuuko drops her gaze to the table. She nods once, and Massu suddenly feels like the biggest ass in the world. Her voice cracks when she finally opens her mouth, Massu instantly moves to her side of the table and pulls Yuuko into his arms.

“It’s okay,” Massu says into her hair, and Yuuko’s grip on his shirt tightens as her shoulders shake with the first quiet sob. “I’ll take care of you. Both of you.”

He runs his fingers through her hair, and ignores the looks they are receiving from the other customers. They don’t matter to him, Yuuko matters. Massu will do whatever it takes to protect her and their child. He shocks himself with his next words. “Marry me, Yuuko.”

Yuuko stiffens against him, takes a deep breath. “What about your career? This will ruin you,” she murmurs into his shoulder, her hands hold tight onto his waist.

“I don’t care,” Massu replies, and he squeezes her shoulders. “I’m not going to abandon you. That’s my child and this is my fault for not being more careful.” Yuuko laughs, pulls away from him and wipes the tears away.

“We were both drunk,” she says, and runs a hand across her stomach. “So it isn’t just your fault, it’s mine too.”

“I don’t care who’s to blame,” Massu says, and runs his thumbs against the edges of her tear-filled eyes. “I’m asking you to marry me. We can raise the baby together, be a family.”

Yuuko is silent for a long time, she stares at her hands which have moved to rest in her own lap. Massu holds his breath, and prays to whatever god may be listening, that Yuuko agrees with this marriage. Yuuko looks up, and smiles at him.

“Okay,” she agrees, and Massu hugs her again. He grins into her hair when she laughs. “You have to tell Shige though. He gets really upset when things involve me.” Massu tightens his hold on her, and she laughs again. “Not like that! He acts like my older brother.”

“Come on. Let’s get out of here,” Massu says, and pulls Yuuko up from the table.

Yuuko grabs her purse and follows Massu. He entwines their fingers and smiles when she squeezes his hand, he has plans to buy her the biggest ring the store has to offer.
